To achieve the beautiful statue that arrives on your doorstep, from a lump of raw stone, a lot of workers and levels of production are involved.
Many of the carvers working in the Stonelove workshop have studied Buddhism and Shaolin Kung Fu in the local Pagoda from an early age.
Studying Buddhism brings honour to the family of the monks and is considered an invaluable experience. Usually after a certain period of learning, the monks will leave the Pagoda to pursue a career and family life, but will often return to monk-hood in later life.
Stonelove believe that this experience gives the carvers the essential qualities needed to achieve the perfect masterpiece in stone, taking great pride in their work with attention to every detail.
Stonelove NEVER use child labour in any form or exploit the workers in any way.


Matthew Paton- Director/CEO of Stonelove Ltd, with years of experience of stone statue production. All orders are produced under my critical eye ensuring only the best sculptures come out of the Stonelove workshop.	Nguyen The Dzung - Master carver and ex Buddhist monk of 10 years. Dzung is an expert sculpture and is responsible for many of the custom orders produced, ensuring that the order is produced to the EXACT customer requirements.	Mr Quang - Master carver and manager of Stonelove workshop. Studied as a monk for 9 years before leaving and setting up a workshop opposite the Pagoda. Locally respected as a Kung Fu master, Mr Quang can carve anything in stone.

Muoi - Master carver and ex Buddhist monk of 12 years. Muoi's real skill is carving faces onto the statue which is considered the hardest part to carve.	Xuan- Comes from a family of stone carvers and has been carving since before he could read and write. Already a master craftsman, he takes great pride in his work as did his fore fathers before him.	Hiep- Ex Buddhist monk of 4 years and on his way to becoming a master carver, this craftsman also comes from a family of stone carvers that he can trace back a few centuries.


Dzung- Studied at Sculpture College for 4 years and is an expert at carving new designs. Because of his academic training, his expertise is often required when carving custom orders.	Hong- Studied Buddhism in the local Pagoda but left after a year to pursue his true vocation; carving masterpieces from stone. Excellent carver with a real eye for detail.
